As the second quarter of 2024 draws to a close, we take a look at the performance trends of the leading Fitness and Weight Loss applications in the US. The data, gathered by Sensor Tower, offers a snapshot of how these apps have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and user engagement.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter observed a fluctuating revenue trend, with peaks in early April and early May at around $4.4M and $4.3M respectively. Downloads for the app showed a decline from 2.3M in the first week of April to 1.7M towards the end of June. Weekly active users started at 37K in April, with slight increases and decreases, ending at approximately 34K active users by late June.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a generally ascending revenue trend, starting at $2.6M and reaching up to nearly $5M in mid-June. Downloads saw a peak of 2.6M in mid-May, but later dipped to 1.7M by the end of June. The app's active users showed growth, starting from 47K and climbing to an impressive 53K in the last week of June.

For BetterMe: Health Coaching, revenue started at $3.3M and saw peaks at $4.2M in early May and mid-June. Downloads initially stood at 1.8M, with a noticeable decrease to 1.2M by the end of the quarter. Active users began at 7.3K and experienced fluctuations, concluding at approximately 5.7K in the final week of June.

Fitbit: Health & Fitness showed a revenue trend with moderate fluctuations, peaking at $2.6M in the last week of June. Downloads witnessed a decline from over 500K in the first week of April to just over 250K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 7.6K to 7.7K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit saw a revenue trend starting at $2.2M, with ups and downs ending at $1.4M in late June. Downloads for JustFit began at nearly 3M and decreased to 1.3M by the end of Q2. Active users showed a dip in mid-quarter but recovered to 10K by the quarter's end.
